NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Life is good in Hampton Roads, at least according to Old Dominion University’s latest quality of life survey.
Of the people surveyed, more than 70 percent reported that overall quality of life was excellent or good, while 28 percent found it to be fair or poor.
Those who ranked life in Hampton Roads well said there’s access to excellent recreational resources, such as beaches, museums, sports, and parks. Major concerns included crime and transportation.
Overall, this year’s survey has the highest ranking since 2010.
“How are the citizens of this region seeing this region? What are their perceptions of quality of life? What are their perceptions of major problems or issues, strengths and weaknesses?
